INST 050 - Thur. Nov. 25th

Today we went over the "Women in the Fur Trade" worksheet together. Then we read the "Devastation by Disease" section and answered 3 questions. We also did a worksheet that graphed the population of First Nations affected by the epidemics. The graph is due on Tuesday.

I handed out the review sheet for the chapter 4 test that is on Tuesday.

We also discussed the project presentation and the changes in the grading system for the course.

INST 050 - Nov. 23rd

Today we worked on finishing the timeline assignment, and starting the new one. Your evaluations must be handed in to me or you will not get a mark for the assingment.

We read the section "Women in the Fur Trade" and did a worksheet(in yellow folder), which is due for Thursdays class. There was also notes, which are in the pink binder in the cupboard.

We read the section "Impacts of the Fur Trade" and took notes, which are in the pink binder.

On Thursday we will go over the homework(Women worksheet), and finish the chapter. Then we will work on a review sheet.

On Tuesday November 30th there will be a test on chapter 4, based on the review sheet questions.

INST 050 - Nov. 4th

Today we started and finished the notes for Chapter 11 in Full Circle. If you were not here, the sheets are in the folder in the class and the notes are in the pink binder. I am checking on Tuesday that all the notes are done for chapters 5-11 from Full Circle.

Essays MUST be handed in, even if they are late.

On Tuesday we will be working on the timeline, so bring all materials that you will need for that.

Essays due today by 3pm. If handed in after that, they will be considered late and will have marks deducted for each day that it is late.

Today we read and wrote notes for Chapter 10. If you missed class be sure to get the worksheet from the folder, and copy out the notes from the pink binder.

INST 050 - Oct. 26th

Essay is due Tuesay November 2nd. That is the only day to hand in. I will NOT be accepting late assignments.

Today we worked on Chapter 9, and will finish on Thursday. If there is time on Thursday and the computer lab is free, we will work on the timeline. If the computer lab is not free, we will continue on to the next chapter. The chapter notes are in the pink binder.

INST 050 - Oct. 21st

Today we finished the notes for Chapter 8 and worked on the timeline project in our groups. If you missed today, you need to talk to your group members about what you need to do. Notes for Chapter 8 are in the pink binder.
